What the service covers

What Is Pallet Rebuilding?

Pallet rebuilding restores an unstable or damaged palletized freight load. Products are restacked, transferred to a suitable pallet, or rearranged after part of the shipment has been removed.

Restacking describes rearranging the products. Rebuilding can also include replacing the pallet and securing the finished load with banding or stretch wrap.

The work should reflect what the next receiver needs. Pallet type, maximum height, product arrangement, and labels can all affect how the team rebuilds the load.

Have receiving instructions? Send them with your photos.

A rejection notice or the receiver’s written requirements helps the team plan the correction before work starts.

When the original stack no longer works

When Does a Load Need Rebuilding?

01

Broken or Collapsed Pallets

A broken base can no longer support the freight properly. Move products onto a replacement pallet and secure them.

02

Shifted or Leaning Stacks

Cartons have slid, tilted or come loose in transit. The affected stack needs to be taken down and rebuilt before the next move.

03

Rejected Deliveries

The receiver has refused the load because of its pallet condition or stacking. The rejection details help identify what needs to be corrected.

04

Overloaded or Uneven Pallets

A pallet may be too tall, too heavy or unevenly loaded. Down-stacking or redistributing the freight can improve balance and bring the load into the required configuration.

05

Partial Pallet Loads

Part of the shipment has been removed, leaving gaps or an unstable stack. The remaining products need to be rearranged.

06

Emergency Freight Recovery

When shipments are rejected or delayed, we’ll find a nearby facility to keep freight moving.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need pallet rebuilding, restacking or freight rework?
Restacking rearranges the products; rebuilding may also replace the pallet or restore a partial load. Freight rework covers these and other corrections, such as labeling and weight redistribution. Send photos if you’re unsure which service you need.
Can you replace a damaged or collapsed pallet?
Yes. Freight can be transferred off a broken or collapsed pallet and rebuilt on a suitable replacement. Tell us the size, type or grade the receiver requires so we can confirm the right materials are available.
Can you rebuild pallets after a rejected delivery?

Yes. If the rejection involves a broken pallet, shifted stack or incorrect configuration, we can help arrange corrective work. Send the receiver’s rejection reason and instructions first. The receiver makes the final decision about accepting the shipment.

How much does pallet rebuilding cost?

The quote depends on the number and condition of the pallets, the handling required and any replacement pallets or materials. Send photos and shipment details so we can price the work for your load.

How quickly can pallet rebuilding be arranged?

Tell us when the truck is available and when the freight needs to reach its next stop. Timing depends on local facility capacity, the work involved and material availability. Our team will confirm the available options for your request.

What information is needed for a pallet rebuilding quote?

Send photos, the truck’s city or ZIP code, total and affected pallet counts, product details and requested timing. Include any receiver instructions or rejection notice. Photos are required before a rework quote can be prepared.

Do you coordinate pallet rebuilding in Canada?
Yes. Pallet Restack America coordinates rebuilding and restacking in Canadian markets, as well as across the United States. Send the truck’s location so we can check service options nearby.
